Expert Digital Marketing for the Healthcare Industry
A survey of hospital marketers and other healthcare professionals shows that by 2013, many of these organizations will be moving from the more traditional channels of marketing such as print, radio, and direct mail to a predominantly digital marketing strategy or a mix of both. As more hospital marketers move online, it is important for your hospital or clinic to not be left behind.
As hospital marketers make the switch to digital marketing, they are not just stopping at the usual suspects of SEO and paid search advertisements. Increasingly, they are also turning to social media, video marketing, and mobile marketing to spread their messages and reach their target market.
It isn’t surprising that so many companies are turning to these new digital forums, either. According to an August 2011 research study from the Pew Research Center, eight out of ten internet users turn to the internet for health care information, making it a perfect forum to reach audiences interested in learning more about hospitals and hospital care.
But while most hospital marketers understand that they need digital marketing, not all have the knowledge to create a comprehensive marketing plan with digital marketing goals and a system of strategies and budgetary or return-on-investment checks and balances. Without a plan, results of internet marketing for hospitals can be at best hit-or-miss and at worst non-existent.
